I use my Cricut for so much more than scrapbooking. One thing I love to do with my Cricut is to make little learning games for my son. So far I’ve made little games to help him learn his shapes and colors.

Ducks Don’t Wear Socks, by John Nedwidek, is another fun and silly book that kids will love about a serious and shy girl who meets an eccentric duck. Throughout the short picture book, the duck does all kinds of silly things and gets Emily to smile and be a little less serious.

Well, everyone, he’s here! 9 months is such a long time to be pregnant, but it’s over and this is what I got out of the deal:

Isn’t he adorable? He’s 5 days old here, and looking very thoughtful about something. Probably milk…or sleeping…

The authors of The Siblings’ Busy Book are twin sisters Lisa Hanson and Heather Kempskie who have lots of great ideas that kids from ages 3 months to 9 years can participate in together. Every page in this book has at least one fun kids activity with variations so children of all ages can essentially be doing the same thing and learning to play cooperatively together. You can keep 3 kids busy without doing 3 different things. Each idea is easy to do and requires basic materials!

One thing has been consistent through both of my pregnancies so far – I really get into trying new recipes. I guess I just require more varied and delicious food when I’m pregnant. I know I think about food more. Everytime I go to update my Twitter thing, my first thought is to write something about food – what I’m eating, what I’m thinking about eating, what I want to make, etc. It’s crazy!
