Thanks Vanilla Joy for sending so many visitors to my blog post on creating baby bib's from Fingertip Towels. I love creating bib's and I guess so do all of you. I've had several questions on the bibs recently so I created a new simplified post on how to make them. You can view it if you are interested here: http://sewforthandsewon.wordpress.com/2011/08/06/towel-baby-bibs-neck-binding-tutorial/

These bibs are so cute! My daughter is also a champion spitter/drooler - I'm never without a burp rag in hand, and the bibs we get as gifts aren't always so cute, or they don't match her outfits (which bugs me). I can't wait to try these out.

Thanks for sharing these! I've actually been looking at bib patterns, and some of these are adorable! I think I may try several different ones to see which works best for my little one. He manages to get food under the ones he has now, so we'll see what works best!

Okay, so I've tried using my cricut to cut fabric and have not gotten a totally clean cut, like I would with scissors...what is your secret? I even have been using a brand new blade.

Also, did you use Heat and Bond for sewing, or the other, regular kind?

I've been trying to do some appliques for Halloween shirts for my sons and a birthday shirt for my baby and I am getting frustrated and would love any tips you have on using the cricut to cut fabric...if you ever want to cut gumpaste with your cricut to decorate cakes, go to my mom's site (no, I did not start this to advertise, I really want to know what I was asking, but figured you might be interested in this, too...it is so easy and so cool...sorry to hijack the post)
www.creativedesignscakes.com
She has a DVD telling you how to use the cricut to cut out designs. I just wish she'd cut out fabric and help me out!

Thanks for any tips or tricks!
