I finished sewing all the strips together on my Citron Grey quilt…only I decided at the last minute to try to do them a little bit wonky. I totally cheated and cut them wonky on purpose, so it wasn’t all free loving with no measuring, but I’m a little braver and think I could try the real deal next time. I’m so straight-edged and rule bound, freestyle is hard for me…but…baby steps.

I cut all my square blocks into triangles and then solid grey for the other half. I. Love. It.

I think I’ve decided for finally sure on this layout – Electric Quilt is saving my bacon right now…I’m really wanting to get this and a few other projects before the baby is born, and that software make it so easy to edit and rearrange.

What do you think? I was going to go with the diagonal or zigzag stripe, but I ended up only cutting my square blocks in half triangles instead of quarter which means all the stripes are going the same way, so I needed to mix things up a little more. I think I like this one best anyway…what do you think?!?

I should have the top all finished up and ready to blog on Monday. Yay!

Now I need to get practicing on my free motion quilting…
