Cantaloupe is one of my favorite summer fruits, but cutting it up is kind a pain. At least the old way – I used to cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, cut each half into 6-8 slices, and cut the rind off each slice. That’s the loong way!
The fast way is to cut off the very ends and then cut off the rind, kind of like a pineapple. Then cut in half, scoop out the seeds, and slice.
What are your fruit cutting tips and tricks?

I would have never thought of doing it that way! That is so much easier. I’m going to give it a try. Thanks a lot!
Looks like it could be a great time saver for melon! I am always putting off cutting it up because it seems to take so much time. I’ve got one in my kitchen that I’m going to try this with today!
Be sure to let me know how you like it!
I’m totally pounding my head against a wall! [A virtual one- I kind of like my head without injuries] We will DEFINITELY be doing this from now on. We go through a TON of cantaloupe here.
brilliant!
Great idea!
I think of you when I cut up cantaloupe now! :)
I did this the other day – worked wonderful – thanks for the tip!
