Favorite Supplies

TIMERS have changed everything for us. Having lessons for a specified number of minutes is a much more peaceful way for our family to homeschool than requiring a specific quantity of work each day.

Everyone has their own timer and although it may seem counterintuitive, they do work harder and give a better effort when they know that each lesson is short and they get to rotate through several subjects each day.

STICKERS help my kids see visually how much progress they’re making. It’s fun to see our charts slowly fill up with stickers over the course of the 12 week term.

Our MEMORY BOX houses all the verses, poems, and quotes we’ve memorized and we review them systematically with the help of this lovely box!

Our CALENDAR is part of our math work each day – we track the day and date, the weather, and moon phase. And the peg dolls double as some of our favorite toys!

GAMES are kind of our thing… we have all kinds and they never get old!

The only supplies I lack are some better quality art supplies. We’re ramping up art this year – I can’t wait!!

This is my basket of supplies – my nature journal and commonplace book and some pretty pens. ??
