I don’t live near Ikea (sure wish I did!), but I bet I could find something similar at Michaels and use a coupon. And silk flowers look so authentic now! This is a great gift idea, too.

So I’m totally jealous that you live near an IKEA! This would be great for seasonal decorations as well… fall leaves, Christmas holly or Poinsettias… super cute and way $$$ practical.

I love the look of the frame turned on its side (to make a diamond!) I am going to have to find a way to use that. Especially in my sons baseball themed room. (just without the flowers)

I saw something like this at Quilted Bear and tried to make it myself and I wasn’t happy with it. But it used flattened flowers. I will try this shadow box idea to see if I like the 3-d of it better. Thanks!

What a great idea – I love the versatility of it. I can swap out flowers from season to season or room to room. Love the fact that it is also so simple and easy to do! Very important for me. :)

I love it. I been wanting to do a shadow box for dried flowers that i have collected over special ocassions. I have also heard that ikea carries the cheapest shadow boxes. But we didn’t have one in memphis. We moved to Chicago recently, and my plan is to head to ikea once we get settled. thanks for inspiration.
