They are shaped to fit your shoulder. Simply sew around the outside (wrong sides together with batting in between) and then cut perpendicular to your stitching line all the way around (about 1/2 - 3/4 inch apart). It is 100% cotton. You could use many different fabrics for these burp cloths as long as it's 100% cotton like terry cloth or flannel.
