Machine Quilting Design – Marking Finished!

I am FINALLY getting around to finishing up some quilts. This is the Ginger Blossoms fabric from Michael Miller from a while ago. I decided to do a tulip stipple design and tried marking the design on the fabric BEFORE basting the whole thing together which is a very good idea.

I used a black Pilot Frixion ink pen that erases when heated, and the ink flowed really nicely and is perfectly visible. I added a border and ironed the seam on a section I had already marked and it completely disappeared so I had to redo it. At least I know it works!

I marked it a week ago and the ink is still perfectly visible, so I’m really pleased with how this pen works.

You can see here the first section I marked – now I just need to quilt it!

Have you used the Frixion pens on fabric? Opinions??
