I have a house full of boy who love to build things, and what could possibly be more fun than building your own amusement park?!?

This new Blue Orange game called Meeple Land challenges players to create an amusement park with a variety of rides and all the convenient services little Meeple People would want – restrooms, food, gifts, etc.

Players begin building their park on their first turn. Every player gets some money to start the game and uses their money to purchase attractions, services, or advertisements.

Players make their purchases strategically – all the attractions must connect to each other through walkways and the goal is no wasted space!

Once a player runs out of money or chooses not to purchase any more attractions or services, he chooses a bus of Meeples. Each bus carries 2 colors of meeples, so attractions have to be chosen based on the available buses.

There’s also a score sheet to help you keep track of which attractions you’ve purchased so as not to have any duplicates in your park.

Meeples are placed inside the park wherever there is room for them. Each meeple earns the player money to be used on the next round to purchase more rides and attractions, so the goal is to get as many meeples into your park as possible each round. Any meeples left outside the park can wait until the next round, but if they’re left over at the end of the game, they count as negative points against your score.

The game is played over 4 rounds and gets more challenging each time as other players choose the attractions and buses you had your eye on!

Possible Gameschool Subjects include engineering, economics, business/marketing, and math!

When the last round is over and no one can purchase anything else, scores are tallied. Math is used all through the game, counting money and making decisions about what a player can afford, etc., and scoring is always a great math exercise. And when it’s all over, you can admire your amazing Meeple Land amusement park or tear it down and build a new one.

Thanks to Blue Orange Games for sharing this fun new building game with us!
