I noticed the link on the sidebar and clicked…how could I have missed such an adorable post when you put it up? I have been thinking of getting plain beach towels and doing this for my three boys…seeing yours makes me want to do it even more, and I *think* I have that cart. so I can maybe even do an alien for one of the boys…THANKS!

I just found your site tonight and am so thrilled! I am going to be a great-aunt in July 2010 for the first time. Since it’s been 18 years since my 2nd child was a baby, I’m out of the loop. I want to make personal gifts for my niece’s baby boy and I’ve already seen so many ideas here that I like. I’m not an experienced sewer, though, and have never put in a zipper (SCARY) but I hope to actually finish a project. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. This towel is adorable. I want to make a sports themed one since the parents are sports nuts. I’ve never appliqued either so wish me luck! :)
