We learned a fun game at our local library’s story time that would be perfect for this year’s Easter party!
How to Play Capture the Tail
1. Give each player a “bunny tail” by tucking a strip of toilet paper into the back of their pants.
2. Play just like tag except each player tries to steal as many other player’s tails as possible.
3. The last player with a tail wins!
We played this with a bunch of 2-4 year olds, so it was interesting. An older group would be better, although the little ones loved it too, and even adults can play!
This would be a great game for before/after the Easter egg hunt while everyone is out with lots of energy!

I imagine it would be really hard for the tiny ones to catch on to the game, but older kids would really enjoy it.
Yes, it was mostly fun for the little kids to run around and act like they were playing! Little kids love to participate, even if they have no idea what is going on. Older kids and even adults would have the most fun with this game for sure, but it’s something the whole family can do together!
That looks so fun! I am going to try it with my preschool class tomorrow!
That’s a great idea! Your kids will love chasing each other around without getting in trouble – Let me know how it goes!
We always play “Bunny, Bunny, Hop” (aka Duck, duck, goose) while the dad’s hide the eggs at our annual easter egg hunt. The kids love it and remember to play it every year :)
How fun!
Sounds like fun, I created two Easter games on my site Party Game Ideas – Games were Easter Corners, Easter Hop Spot as well as an Easter Treasure Hunt game and more.
