Ribbon Organization

I put together a video tutorial for today and couldn’t get my not-so-great camera to upload. So hopefully we’ll have video tomorrow. For today…RIBBON!

ribbon doll pin organization

I saw this great ribbon organization idea on Sherbet Blossom a few months ago and organized my ribbon that very day (or maybe the next day…) I love the functionality and beauty of this idea!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • ribbon
  • doll pins
  • straight pins (I actually used all my bent ones…)

Wind each ribbon around the doll pin and secure with a straight (bent) pin through the slit in the middle. I found a jar to throw them all into, but what I really need is little glass jars for each color.

How do you organize your ribbon???

Very pretty! I will have to try that

Um, organize? You’re supposed to organize them? Well. I suppose that would be better than my current method of toss-them-in-a-box-then-untangle-when-needed…

Will have to go find my stash of clothespins – thanks for the idea.

I used to live by that same method, and the clothespins work much better. And I find it’s easy to keep up too, which is often the problem I have with pretty solutions.

Right now I have them separated by color in different plastic containers but this way is so cute! I may have to try it.
