These are brilliant ideas! We're planning a road trip to Myrtle Beach next spring and I love the idea of packing bags to last for one hour. Our boys will be 4 and 6 at the time of the trip, so the embroidery hoop with yarn is genius! They will LOVE it! Thanks for these wonderful ideas!

Old sock for erasing is brilliant! And in my experience (unfortunately!), the dry erase markers don't come off of skin very easily, nor do they come out of clothing, but that might just have been my particular brand. I think you can use the washable Crayola markers on a white board, though, and just use a wet wipe to erase. That might work, and wouldn't have the smell, either.

You know, I'm not sure. He didn't really get the markers on himself. Maybe do an experiment on your own hand or something first. They're definitely not washable, but I was sitting right next to him and able to watch what he was doing with the markers. Good point though!

I know how much my grand-daughters love playing with Magnets, but I never thought of dry erase markers for them. Is it easy to get off their skin if they get it on them?
