We're planning a road trip to Myrtle Beach next spring and I love the idea of packing bags to last for one hour. And in my experience (unfortunately!), the dry erase markers don't come off of skin very easily, nor do they come out of clothing, but that might just have been my particular brand. I think you can use the washable Crayola markers on a white board, though, and just use a wet wipe to erase. That might work, and wouldn't have the smell, either. Old sock for erasing is brilliant! He didn't really get the markers on himself. Maybe do an experiment on your own hand or something first.
