I am so bad at scrapbooking. I think everything I do turns out to be crud and then I put it all away and don't touch it for a long time. I love the little footprints page you did. So cute. I might be better if I had more to work with, but I don't really have a lot of things yet.

Love the layouts! Scrapbooking should be more about journaling. I totally agree with you. It is one of the hardest part for me but you inspire me. thanks!

I love the way you do your journaling. That is always the hardest part for me, as a scrapbooker. I love the vellum look and I love being able to print it, but am torn by other scrapbookers who say you should use your own handwriting in the scrapbooks. What do you think about that? My handwriting is good, but gets sloppier the more I write and isn't consistent in style, so I don't really like to use it. I also just sometimes have a hard time knowing what to write. I guess I need prompts, lol.

Thanks so much for all the info here on Vanilla JOy. I will look forward to more info on scrapbooking and more tutorials also.

thanks

I love the look of Velum paper on my scrapbooking pages, and I have used it on card making too.

I love the idea of journaling on vellum but I always get stuck on how to secure it to the page without having glue streaks. What do you use?

I've just made a decision today that Feb is going to be scrapbooking month for me. I'm a tad behind... :) I also focus more on journaling than the pictures. I'll always be able to search through my photo files, but my memory can't hold the details as well as I'd like so that's my primary objective. I've never printed on vellum before.... I'll have to try that! We don't have a color printer, so that would be agreat way to open up more options for me.
