I use a lot of household containers for storage. Sometimes the container an item comes in really influences my decision about purchasing it because I think of how I can reuse the container. I use everything from baby food jars for crafts. I also cut milk cartons and 2 liter bottles to make baskets out of them. Plastic containers are reused to store dry goods like pasta, especially since we buy in bulk. Recently, I started to carefully open boxed food goods and then use clear packaging to tape it back so my daughter has a wonderful assortment of "groceries" for her kitchen or when she plays grocery shopping.
