We conquered potty training a while ago, but we still sometimes struggle with nocturnal enuresis, a fancy way to say bedwetting. It’s typically genetic and is defined as involuntary urination while asleep after the age at which bladder control usually occurs.
In talking to our doctor, we learned it’s more common in boys and it’s really no fun for him or us. We’re working on it and using a bedwetting alarm to train him to wake himself up when he needs to go, but mostly it just takes time.
Finding and trying out the GoodNites Bed Mats couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m so tired of all the laundry, and a very absorbent, disposable option is just what we need to get through this.
Here’s a little preview of this great product, what we love about it, and how it works:
We’re going to be using the GoodNites bed mats for a while still I think, and I’ll be posting and sharing our experience a few more times in the next few months so if you are struggling with bedwetting, get yourself some bedwetting education and stay tuned here for more information.
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of GoodNites. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
I discovered these a few months ago and am so grateful…we are out of pullups and only one of my boys occasionally wets the bed. It is so much easier to make the transition without having to change all of the bedding in the middle of the night!
What kind of bedwetting alarm are you using? My nephew used the Malem Ultimate and is now completely dry! Good luck to you and your son. Waterproof protection is definitely a must!
this is a great information. if my child bed wets, i’ll consider using this
