The set comes with 7 eggs, each with an image representing something from Christ’s life, and a book telling the story in a beautiful and simple way. The image on the egg is repeated in the book and used as a visual symbol of the activities in Christ’s life on that day.

The eggs and book can be used in a few ways – open the egg each day to reveal the next egg and read the corresponding page in the book or read and open all at once. Either way, you get a beautiful visual retelling of Holy Week.

My children love looking at these eggs and retelling me the stories. The symbols on each egg keep the story fresh for them and remind them why we celebrate Easter and of our great love for Jesus and appreciation for His life and sacrifice.

My favorite part is opening the last rock colored egg on Sunday morning. The quiet impact of the empty egg is powerful for our whole family.
