MY REVIEW

We have had the pleasure of reviewing a handful of Step2 products, and they never disappoint! I find that these larger toys get played with more and for longer, so we love Step2!

This time we got to review the Deluxe Workshop, and it has been a HUGE hit with Gus. (Elliot hasn’t seen it yet, we’re going to have the big reveal on Christmas morning!) Gus is only 18 months but already builds with legos and loves big boy things, just like this workshop. He played for a long while hammering and screwing the hardware into the table, pretending the drill was a gun, and vacuuming the carpet.

And features. This Deluxe Workshop is full of all the great things a kid’s workshop should have:

  • Large work surface includes screw holes, recesses for nut, and screw storage
  • Realistic Durafoam™ “wood” allows for easy building
  • Features tool chest looking cabinet, slide in/out drawer, parts bin, hanging jars, and pretend shop vac
  • Electronic features: drill and overhead shop light
  • 50-piece accessory set included (includes drill bits, screws, nuts, saw, hammer, vise, and much more)

I put the whole thing together all by myself in about an hour. (The hubby was busy building shelves in the basement – woohoo!) The directions are really easy to follow for people of all skills, the pieces fit together nicely, and the finished product is sturdy.

The Durafoam wood pieces are a great addition – we built a house and an airplane but you can also build a bike, a boat, and whatever else you can think of.

With the peg board, cupboard, and drawers, there is plenty of storage in this Workshop, so we’ll be adding all our other miscellaneous tools to the mix and hopefully things will stay neat and tidy!

  12. I love the Fresh Market Kitchen! We purchased it not too long ago for our 18 month-old daughter, and she plays with it for hours each day. I am impressed by the quality of all Step 2 products, the vibrant colors, and all of the accessories. Best toy purchase that we’ve made in a long time. I am definitely going to be a Step 2 fan for a long time!

  37. We have one of their playhouses outside that was given to us after another family’s kids outgrew it. My kids love it, from the oldest 6 (has to duck to get into it) to my youngest, 2. The quality of Step 2 play toys is wonderful, and can really last from child to child. My boys would fall over with the workshop.

    So…I do love the Clubhouse Climber the most, though I am also intrigued by the Creative Concepts table. My son has a had a spurt of artistic creativity, and I am sure he could put something like that to good use.

  82. We love Step 2 products. They are so durable. My favorite from the site is the LifeStyle Deluxe Kitchen. I don’t think they can add anything to it. It has everything!
