THE PRIZE

Giveaway #8 is for the Infantino Side Rider ($49.99). One reader will win this handy child carrier!
MY REVIEW
We used a front carrier with our first son, but really only when he was really little. A side carrier is a better option once the child gets a little heavier. Carrying 25 pounds right on your front isn’t the most comfortable thing in the world, and seriously…? What are hips for, anyway?!?
The Infantino Side Rider is a great carrier option for children 14-36 lbs. and it really does work comfortably for 30 lbs. and more. My son is about 30 lbs. and I was surprised at how comfortable this carrier is for him. I thought that there might be too much pressure on my neck, but I was impressed to find that the weight is well distributed between the shoulder and hip strap. Most of the weight is actually on your hip, which is just where it should be.
There’s only one thing I had a hard time with, and that was the initial set up. It took a little while to figure out how to adjust the straps correctly, but once I had them set, everything was great.
This carrier is made with memory foam, which means it will retain its shape and thickness for much longer. (We had a memory foam Cuddlebag for about 3 years and it stayed just as fluffy and huge after 3 years as it was brand new, so I’m a believer.) It’s also made with a breathable mesh to keep the air flowing and your child comfortable. There are pockets for your stuff, and also velcro to keep the excess strapping contained.
The Side Rider is a great extended wear carrier for around the house or running errands, especially if you have more than one child. You can carry the youngest without breaking your back and still have your hands free.
Whether you have a young and light or older and heavier child who still insists upon being carried, the Infantino Side Rider is a great solution.

The Euro Rider looks pretty neat. I like the support the back offers.
This would be great for me! I have a 5 month old who we just weighed on our wii fit :) and he is 19.8 lbs already! Definitely too heavy for my belly to tote around.

I would be interested in trying the SlingRider with our next baby and the SideRider looks great as well. I used a front carrier with my son and my back was always in pain.

This would be great to have. I have a daycare and there isn’t enough room in the stroller when they get tired of walking.

I like the side rider the best. I need to have less pressure on my back to carry a 6-month and this looks like the best!!!
what a post for my week! I’ve got a little guy that’s too big for his sling, but only wants his mama all day long! I love the side rider! How fantastic!

I never knew such a great carrier like this existed!
My favorite is the sling rider. I would have loved to have it with my little newborns to keep them close to me. I hope I win and can use it with my next little one!
I have never seen this before but it looks great! My two are a year apart and my youngest still wants to be carried. This would be so much better than carrying her and pushing an empty stroller. Thanks for another great giveaway opportunity!

I love the front to back rider.

I am interested in the slide slinger. Never seen it before. The back carrier doesn’t hold enough weight and it is hard to hike with a kid poking your eye ball out when sitting up front. This is the perfect solution!
I haven’t tried many baby carriers.. I have a sling and I HATE it! It hurts my back so badly!! I would love to try this!

This looks so great. I have a couple of baby showers coming up…
I’m kind of diggin’ the 6 in 1 Rider in navy/plaid #151-018, it carries baby/toddler up to 35 pounds with six different possible positions, including shaopping cart and car seat:)

That 6-in-1 rider looks so versatile and useful!! We have only used a front carrier so far but I would love to use one for the side or back!!
Love the Style Rider in chocolate/brown flowers.
I like the black damask carseat cover

We bought two Infantino carriers for the kids. We used them quite a bit, too. And they were easy to stash in the car. I think they might have been the Style Rider type.
I’d love to try the Side Rider, since I have a little girl who wants to still be held a bit while we’re shopping or at the library … and being able to have two free hands AND carry my 3 year-old WHILE being able to keep tabs on her brother would be pretty dang miraculous.
I do think about trying a sling, though. When I ever have another child/litter.

I love the 6-in-1 carrier and the side rider! My baby carrier has been a lifesaver! I truly believe it would be impossible to care for 2 kids, while away from home, without some kind of carrier! Sadly, my 7 month old is already 20 pounds and has outgrown the carrier. :(

Wow so many choices of carriers. I think I like the Side Rider simply because I tend to carry babies on my hips anyway.

I made a comment on your post about the Giant Jam Sandwich book
As soon as I brought up the website, I recognized “INFANTINO”. They’ve got great stuff. I’m crazy about carriers, and I’ve got about 4 different kinds. The sling rider looks really interesting; I have something that is on the same concept as that, but I can never get it cinched tight enough.
I commented on the nursing cover up post. I think it’s cute, but wonder how annoying it will be to the baby/ mother. I might make one anyway for baby #3, since I’m all over easy sewing projects.
It is hard to decide…I really like the 6-in-1, in plaid…so cute! I thought the side one would be a little weird and awkward, and then I read your review, and it sounds great too.
i think the sling rider is probably my favorite, but the side rider will be useful for longer! i could sure use this with my newly adopted baby :)
entry two: i subscribe!
The sling would be great for my 3 month old daughter but I could definitely put this one to use too! Thanks!
