Roll For it Deluxe is a great resource for Gameschooling math with lessons in probability, strategy, and addition.

The Deluxe game come with 8 sets of dice, while the other versions come with 4. For our family of 8, this is a huge perk – there are not many games we can all play together. Any game that can accommodate 8 players catches my eye!

Game play is simple:

  • Each player has a unique colored set of dice.
  • Three cards are flipped right side up with the rest of the deck in a stack to one side.
  • Players take turns rolling all their dice and placing dice next to cards they want to capture.
  • Multiple players can be working towards earning the same card at the same time, but the first to have all of that card’s dice placed next to it wins the card and the points.
  • Players can take ALL their dice back at any time and roll them all, but must take ALL dice.
  • Otherwise, players roll only the dice that have not been placed by a card to earn it.
  • The first player to earn 40 points wins.

This game is simple enough to be enjoyed by kids as young as 5 years old, especially if your family plays lots of games.

It’s a game that is just as fun to play with adults as it is for kids, so a variety of ages doesn’t negatively affect game play. And let’s be honest…sometimes it does… :)

My kids enjoy playing this game together and it also makes a great, easy, quick family game night game. Everyone gets their favorite colored set of dice and off we go!
