Norton Identity Safe: Never Forget a Password Again!

Here’s how me and my passwords work – I either have all of them the same which means I’m just asking to get hacked or I set them all different and can’t remember a single one.

It’s impossible.

The internet is supposed to make my life easier and instead it makes me remember more bizarre combinations of numbers, capital letters, and symbols than my brain is capable of.

Enter Norton Identity Safe, the most brilliant (and secure) password management system. We trust Norton for anti-virus software, right?!? Well now we trust them with our magic words.

After downloading Identity Safe (which I highly recommend you do right now), this is the brief introduction that explains what Identity Safe is all about:

  • remembering passwords
  • keeping secure information secure
  • protecting you from hackers
  • helping you be social AND safe
  • avoiding bad sites

You create a vault, the place where all your secure information is stored. Aptly named, right?

Carefully choose a password that you must never forget! because there will be no reminders if you do forget. You get a hint, so make it a good one.

After installing and registering, you’ll have a completely secure place to store every login you ever use, an identity card to help you quickly and automatically fill out forms, and credit card/payment information.

You’ll download the Norton toolbar so every time you log into a new website, the tool bar will alert you that the login has been saved to your vault!

The toolbar also has a little home button which will take you instantly to your vault. You can access all secure websites through your vault, just click the thumbnail and you will be instantly logged in and ready to shop/read/pin/tweet/blog…you get the idea.

No more mnemonic devices! Those are probably good for our brains, so maybe keep exercising that memory some other way. Like which child’s turn it is to do the dishes…

Download Norton Identity Safe right now and never forget another password or get phished again!

  1. I once forgot my password to an online banking account i have full of all our savings. I had my standard 3 different passwords I use and tried all three of them, with the nagging memory that this one was some variation of one of my standards, but not being able to remember exactly WHAT variation it was. After several tries, the website shut me down and sent me home to my email, warning me that I was causing a security alert and that if I WAS, in fact, the owner of the account, I would have to create a new password. Yet again. Thus the many variations of my 3 standard passwords. I was nervous that I would somehow never regain control of my account, but I eventually was able to get back into my account, and this time, I wrote my password down. But I’m not sure where…

  3. I’m just happy that I’m not alone….in not remembering and have to reset my passwords every month. I think I have at least 50 different accounts that require passwords and some that I don’t log-in often enough, I just have to re-set the passwords every single time. Quite frustrating when you are in a rush trying to get things done. This sounds like the perfect product for me.

  6. I often forget my passwords as I’ve often heard it’s bad to have the same password for everything, so this sounds like it would work wonder’s and I can feel secure about keeping up with passwords.

  7. I usually try to keep the same passwords at work and just change the ending for the year but in 2011 it was not allowed due to the pw restrictions of repeating characters, thus 11 in 2011. The year is much easier and should be ok until 2022.

  9. I’ve had some trouble in the past with trying to remembering passwords to websites that I had signed up to, unless I had wrote them down right away or made it something easy to remember if I visited them on a regular basis. This prize,if I win, should come in very handy, so that I don’t have to worry about remembering passwords ever again.

  10. Just a month or so ago I was told about an amazing job opportunity at a company I had applied for several months ago. You know the routine…go to the company’s website, set up a user ID and password, and complete an online application. The posting period was just about to close when I was made aware of it; so time is of the essence. So online I go, and wouldn’t you know it I couldn’t remember the user ID or the password. TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK. So of course, I had to first click the button for forgot user ID, the problem is which email address did I originally set the account under (oh come on, don’t give me that look, I know I am not the only one with multiple email addresses.). Long story short; a harried 24-hours later, I was back in business. I applied for the job, and later this week I have my face-to-face interview (I made it pass the phone interview last week). A program like this would be wonderful for a girl like me; who uses multiple email addresses, multiple browsers, and multiple user IDs.

  18. This isn’t my story, but I was just talking to my mom about it last night. My grandfather passed away a month ago, and since then my grandmother has locked herself out of her online bank account no less than 10 times (he used to pay the bills and now she has to do it). Each time she locks herself out, she has to call the bank helpline to unlock her, and it takes them an hour to walk her through resetting it. It’s crazy.

  22. I always used Roboform (a password/form filler) so when I lost my computer and got a new one a few years back. When I went to enter all my usual sites, I found that there were a couple that I had not saved the passwords for and on top of that, they were older sites I had visited for years and used a totally different email address for as well, I was never able to get back into one of those sites. Even with reregistering I could not get in because all the rest of my info was the same so it insisted I was already registered.

  30. There are a couple of passwords I regularly forget because I don’t use them often enough. Then when I try to log in it usually tells me it’s time for a new password. I really, really hate that. At least with Norton I wouldn’t have to try to remember it.
