Audiovox is giving away a 9″ Slim Line Portable DVD Player ($150) to one reader!!!

MY REVIEW

This 9″ slim Portable DVD Player from Audiovox is easy to use, the perfect size, and comes with its own carrying case to use for storage or hanging from the seat in the car, 2 pair of headphones, and a remote control. I really like the idea of a remote control – Mom and Dad can retain power even if they can’t reach the machine… This DVD player comes with everything you need – a battery that will last up to 2 hours and a wall and car charger for at home or on the go.

And what a lifesaver for road trips! I definitely think that long car rides are great opportunities for family bonding and doing non-technological things like talking and singing and all that, but, come on. Sometimes it’s nice to watch a movie to make the time pass too!

We like to use our portable DVD player in the car, but also at home. Our TV is in the basement and it’s awfully cold down there for most of the year. So my son can sit next to me on the couch with his “computer” and watch a movie for 15-20 minutes while I get some work done on my computer. A portable DVD player makes being aware of what your child is watching much easier without having to be by the stationary TV the whole time.

A portable DVD player is great to have around the house and in the car – thanks, Audiovox!

  158. This is a wonderful giveaway and could make car trips so much bearable! I also like the under the counter one as well. Thank you for a great giveaway opportunity!

  179. I had one of these previously, but the boys got a hold of it and it is now broken. These look like great products and I would love to have it for those trips to grandma’s so I can quit hearing, “Are we there yet” or “How much longer”.

  181. By your description of the 9″ Slim, I’m assuming you mean the model #D1988PK – which is the coolest of all their portable DVD players! It plays DVD, CD, MP3, CDR, CDRW and pictures CD. Comes with the car cabling Kit, Remote Control, Dual Headphone Jacks and a USB connection. I would LOVE to own this for the four hour drive to and from my children and grandchildren’s homes:)

  213. We’re planning a 8 hour road trip next month with my family (one year old twins and a 5 year old) one of my babies hate the car and I just told my hubby we’re going to have to invest in more than one DVD player- maybe I’ll win and just have to buy the car headrest mounting and cabling kit .

  222. I would love the DVD player. With 3 chilren 3 years old and under, it would definitely help us out in the car on long rides!

  239. I am in desperate need of one of these. My daughter loves to watch movies during our 5 – 6 hour drive to see her grandparents and ours just died a little over a week ago. Due to a decrease in income, I simply cannot afford another one and we have a trip coming up!
