Glass Pendant Necklace

I know I’m a way behind on this little jewelry craft, but better late than never, no?

During our annual summer trip to Oregon, my sister shared her glass pendants and scrapbook paper with me and we made a handful of these easy necklaces to accessorize any outfit.

What you’ll need:

Put a dot of diamond glaze on the paper and press the tile down, rubbing the tile in a circular motion to make sure the glue spreads out completely. Then cut around the tile and sand the edges. Glue the bail to the back of the tile and thread the chain through. Easy!

Have you all done this already? Have I totally missed the boat???

  1. Its very pretty. The only necklaces I have made were bottlecap necklaces for my daughters with their favorite characters on them. I like the look of the glass tiles. I was thinking a very small photo, similar to the index print from processing film would make a cute photo necklace.

  2. They’re beautiful, I like them even more than the Scrabble tile ones. Do you think they have any of those tiles in the home improvement store? I’m going to check! :0)

  3. I tried this with the semi-round glass beads you use in vases. They turned out ok but they didn’t hang well and I can’t get the bail to stay on. I did recently make some Scrabble tile pendants that looked MUCH better. I really like the look of the one you did above- I’ll have to look into the glass tiles you picked up!

  4. This is beautiful! I have made the scrabble tile pendants before and used super glue for the bail but some of them broke off. Did you use the diamond glaze to glue the bail on?
