Cricut Craft: Weather & Days of the Week Preschool Chart

I have been really trying to make the most of our quiet mornings with Elliot gone to kindergarten and give Gus some one-on-one time AND some preschool activities.

So we are now charting the weather AND learning the days of the week.

Making a weather chart is so easy and there are tons of different ways to do it. Check Pinterest if my rendition isn’t your favorite. Otherwise, here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 sheets of white cardstock and scraps of various colors
  • Cricut cartridges: Stamping Solutions, Paper Doll Dress Up, Designer’s Calendar, Create a Critter, Accent Essentials OR printable template from While She Naps
  • 2 large circle brads
  • Contact Paper
Cut out all the shapes, glue them to the round weather chart and cover with contact paper, trimming 1/4″ from the edge of the large paper circle. Punch a hole in the center of the weather chart to attach arrow with the brad.

Each morning we check the weather and talk about it – it’s a very simple activity but Gus looks forward to something that’s  just for him each day. And more than the actual activity, it’s so good for him and I to spend this time together and to get in the habit of observing and talking about what we see.

It’s a start…
