MY REVIEW
Our local Kroger store, Smith’s Marketplace, is one of my favorite places to shop. I don’t know if it’s because it is essentially the same as “Fred Meyer” that I grew up shopping at or the great sales and prices. Probably a little of both…
Right now the Kroger Family of Stores is running one of their great promotions where you can purchase 10 items from participating brands and get $5 off with your shoppers card. They have these events occasionally, and I almost always stock up on foods that our family loves for a great price. This current promotion began August 16 and will run through September 2 and includes some of the following food items/brands:
- General Mills and Quaker cereals
- Tostitos chips, salsas, and dips
- Betty Crocker fruit snacks
- Frito Lay snacks
- Nature Valley granola bars
- Progresso soups
- AquaFina water
- Tropicana Juice
- Yoplait Yogurt and more!
As you can see, this promotion includes a variety of brands and types of foods, so there’s something for everybody! And the best part is the $5 off. Budgets are getting tighter for pretty much everyone these days, and I count on sales like this one to stretch my grocery money each week.

The last time they had one of these we walked away saving around 60% (and we had done regular grocery shopping at the same time). I think we saved about $40. I am sure we could do it again, maybe even save more since I know there are some catalina deals ($$ of your next purchase) for some of the items at my local Kroger store.

I think last time our Kroger did this I ended up saving $35.00 off my grocery bill. It was the best feeling!

Shopping Kroger brands always allows me to save money every shopping trip I make, their brand is just as quality as the “name brand” stuff but for a significant amount less! Thanks for a great give away!

I went to Kroger tonight. My total before coupons was $78 and after was around $43!
I love savings and Kroger is our grocery store of choice. I always save money at Kroger. We usually end up saving about 40 – 60% of our total bill which includes non-sale items. If you only purchased the sale items and used coupons you could probably end up with more like 55-80% savings. I do know BIG coupon (Doublers and triplers) that buy only the sale items and use the coupons on the double or tripple day and end up saving 90-100% yes I do know some who walk out not owing anything. It is amazing to see them do it–but it is alot of organization research and WORK. Of the items listed we buy about 80% of those items.

I usually save between $20-$30 when I go to our Krogers (which is Baker’s in Omaha). I love how the receipt says total savings at the bottom :)
I can usually save close to 50% with the wise combination of sale prices and coupons! Yeh!
I think I could save 50% at least. Actually, I even just went Saturday and did this…and can’t find my receipt. I love these stores!

The minimum I ever save when shopping Kroger is about 40%. When they have megasales and I only shop the sale items I can use coupons in combination with the sale to save about 75%. Love it!
Kroger is one of my FAVES… I usually save between 30-40%, so next trip I think I could do at least that! Maybe more… gift cards get me extra giddy, so who knows what I could do? :) Thanks for a great giveaway!
