MY REVIEW

Gus is in the stage right now where he’s old enough to want to ride a bike but isn’t quite tall enough yet. And he’s tall for his age…his legs just aren’t long enough to reach the pedals on even little kid bikes, which blows my mind, but there you have it.

plasmacar

We received a Plasmacar for review, and my FAVORITE thing about it is how great it is for the too-small-for-a-pedal-bike crowd. Since the forward movement is created entirely by a child’s limitless energy, this is the PERFECT toddler bike! With no batteries, gears, pedals, or mechanical parts, the Plasmacar moves by moving the steering wheel back and forth. That’s it! So 2-year old Gus can do it no problem all by himself (no back breaking pushing required…)and he loves every minute of it!

And while even the littlest kids can do it, older ones love it too. Elliot rides a regulation bike, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love this one just as much. It’s a different way to move and expend energy, and all the neighborhood boys love it.

One of the first things I noticed was how lightweight the Plasmacar is. And thank goodness for that or else I don’t think I could muster the energy to get it every time the kids wanted it…It’s light enough that even Elliot can carry it from the backyard to the front.

The boys and I put it together easily and quickly and we were ready to ride!

We have reviewed several different kinds and brands of toddler bikes, and I have to say this one is my favorite! It’s the most universal as far as age goes, it’s lightweight and sturdy, can go fast (but not too fast, up to 6mph), and is a great way for my boys to move and get their wiggles out!

  1. My favorite is the blue, although my daughter would much prefer the pink (I think her baby brother agrees with me about the blue, however!)

  2. I like the yellow one best. We have had one for years and if we won a second it would be so much fun to have plasma car races! I have 3 boys and they fight over the plasma car (at ages 2, 5, 8) more then any other outdoor toy!

  5. Those are so fun! They remind me of “bikes” my dad had at his school when we were little. We all loved them. I think we would love a red one… Sporty and it works for boys and girls.

  6. Plasmacar has been on our wishlist for a couple years now. We love the green, but in checking the latest colors I was sad to see it isnt offered now. So next choice would be the blue, as blue suits both the gals and the guys!

  7. My favorite color is definitely the pink but I’m pretty sure I would purchase the yellow one is buying because it could be passed down to different gender siblings, cousins and friends!

  8. Thanks so much for the giveaway. My littlest one is trying so hard to keep up with the older ones on bikes and things that this would be perfect. He’s at the tween stage, not old enough to handle but thinks that he can.
