by Kelsey Norwood

in Giveaways

{The winner of the Little Men Working Potty from Safety 1st is Lia Keller! She said, “Their gates are amazing and I need a few now that babe is crawling around like a mad man!

Email your address to kelsey[at]vanillajoy[dot]com to claim your prize.

Congratulations, Lia, and thanks again to Safety 1st!}

Potty training is not something I’m looking forward to, but with today’s prize, it might not be too bad!

THE PRIZE

little-men-working-potty safety first 1st

Safety 1st is giving away the Little Men Working Potty to one lucky winner!

MY REVIEW

We have this little man’s potty at our house, and we went from no potty interest at all to potty obsession. If all it takes is a fun potty, we’re set!

My son can’t stay away from this potty! He practiced sitting down and then dumping out the contents (when he wasn’t asking Mom and Dad to “drink this”…but whatever!), closing the lid and standing on it like a stool, and just carrying it around with him everywhere. We had to say goodnight to the potty before he could part with it at bed time.

111We really went from zero potty interest to total potty acceptance. We’re not potty trained yet, but if I had one recommendation for potential potty trainers, it would be to get a fun and interactive potty to start the interest and conversation. This potty helped my son want to learn more about bathroom business, and I think it will ease the pain of potty training.

One of the best parts about the Little Men Working Potty is that there is a little “reward” for the child if he puts something in the potty. When something hits the bottom of the removable potty bucket, you get to hear real truck sounds! Safety 1st has incorporated positive reinforcement into this potty, and I like this reward much better than candy or a prize.

When your child is ready to move to the Real Potty, the white trainer seat can go with him. It’s removable and fits onto an actual toilet seat to keep him from falling in! Close the lid and you have a step stool for reaching the sink. 3 in 1!

Getting a fun potty for your child will make the whole potty training nightmare a little easier, I think. Thanks, Safety 1st!

I think these little baby knee pads are hilarious – I was a volleyball player in college, so I guess it’s probably not that funny to most people, but I think it is.
That potty chair is awesome…I hope I win!

16 Virginia G April 20, 2009 at 10:03 am

My son would love the PlaySafe™ Swing Tray Booster Seat, especially when he grows out of his phil & ted’s clamp-on high chair. He’s only 1 1/2, but he loves stepping up to the big potty, pulling up his shirt, and saying “go pee pee”. I hope this is a good sign! :)

17 Susan Shields April 20, 2009 at 10:03 am

Besides the cute potty seat, I am happy to see the Keep Close Child Tracker (#48468) at Safety 1st. This system keeps your child within close range – the parent unit immediately alerts you if your child wanders out of the 80-foot range, and the child unit clips to a belt or shoe. How many of us parents have been distracted at the park for just a minute then can’t see our child? This tracker system prevents losing your child.
