bosch mixxo immersion blender

One reader will win the Bosch Mixxo immersion blender! ($129)

MY REVIEW

bosch mixxo immersion blender

An immersion blender is a small kitchen appliance I use all the time – for canning and making jams and applesauce and for everyday meals like spaghetti sauce and beans.

I got to try out the Bosch Mixxo, a cordless immersion blender, and it is so easy to use and gives me great results. I made that delicious tomato cream sauce picture above for our pasta last week and I usually leave the tomatoes and onions in chunks, but this time I decided to try making it even more creamy and delicious with the Mixxo. The blended version of this already fabulous pasta sauceĀ  is the way of the future!

The Mixxo is a great immersion blender for lots of reasons. For starters, it’s cordless. That makes it so much easier to use and easier to clean. The blade detaches from the motor/handle section so you don’t have to worry about getting water where it shouldn’t be, which means you can actually get it clean!

The Mixxo is also powerful enough to blend to a smooth and creamy texture. It has a good battery life and when it is charging time, the charger can be mounted on the wall to save space or rest on your counter.

This stick/immersion blender also comes with a clear plastic mixing beater, great for smoothies, milkshakes, sauces, and more. It also comes with a mini chopper (works just like a food process, just smaller) that is perfect for making salsa or just chopping up vegetables for your main dish.

As always, Bosch makes some of the highest quality kitchen appliances available. Their customer service is great and their products last. Thanks, Bosch!

Hi, just got back from Bosch, now I’m entering. I’d so use that to puree my strawberries, since we had to pick them before the freeze (in Florida?!?!?) hit and now I have oodles of berries that I need to make puree with and freeze – this time in MY freezer! LOL and I’d use them for my healthy shakes, and (gasp) gravies! Ooooh I’d have so many uses!!!

Went to Bosch and loved what I saw. I have 5 kids all with thier own likes and dislikes of foods. For instance my 5 & 6 year olds won’t eat carrots wether cooked or not, sugared or not. But they love the carrot baby foods. My daughter is a chef in the making. She loves trying new food, eating and cooking. This gorgeous blender would never rest. ;-)

I love to make homemade applesauce and this would be the perfect tool to get it to just the right consistency.

163 Kathy Mc January 12, 2010 at 4:03 pm

OMG, I can see so many great uses for this wonderful all-in-one kitchen appliance from Bosch. Slicing & dicing are a pet peeve of mine but that’s what makes so many things good such as soups, smoothies, applesauce, salsa, jalapeno jelly, salads, milkshakes and on and on. Would love to win this as just told my husband the other day I need a good chopper. Thanks for the chance!

205 BrendaLea January 14, 2010 at 9:27 am

I could use this for so many things… puree food for my sweet great Niece, make milk shakes and smoothies for me and my Grandsons, blending veggies into spaghetti sauce, etc so the boys don’t realize they are eatiting veggies.

Thanks for the chance to win.
