Two readers will each win one of these Top That! Publishing Books: Fuzzy Fair: A Soft Felt Play Book or Playtime: A Magnetic Play Book!
MY REVIEW
As you may know from my Activity Bag posts, we recently went on a 12 hour road trip with our 2 1/2 year old (Elliot) and our 3 month (Gus). There wasn’t much I could do to make Gus happy except pump milk while we drove and feed it to him constantly. But I did put together some fun activities for Elliot, and a few Top That! Publishing books were included.
We brought along the Animals magnetic play book, Fuzzy Duck, and the Early Days Counting book. I could have a whole shelf in my library dedicated to Top That! Publishing books because they’re so interactive, educational, and fun for kids of all ages.
These three books are a good representation of the kinds of books Top That! Publishing has in their vast collection. Fuzzy Duck is actually a Tide Mill Press title and is a soft felt play book. Each page has a little pond that parents can help children place the correct animals in to match the written story.
Animals is part of the magnetic play series and contains a set of magnets that the child can match to pictures and words on each page.
And the Early Days Counting book is one of Elliot’s all time favorites because it combines his 2 favorite things: puzzles and books. Each page of this book has a number and that many puzzle pieces. For example, on page 10, there are 10 bright and colorful fish puzzle pieces. It’s so much fun and very useful at church, the doctor’s office, or in the car to keep kids busy and learning.
We’ve been visiting grandparents and cousins for the past few weeks, and these books were just what we all needed to get these two precious toddlers out of the house for a minute. They sat on our Tuffo picnic blanket and read their magnetic and fuzzy felt books for long enough to give everyone in the house a break!
Top That! Publishing has all kinds of great books for kids that are fun for more than just reading. Check out their website and choose your favorite!

I just found your blog through the Crafty Crow. These books look great! We have to travel 2 days by car to get to family a couple of times a year and I am always looking for good travel activities for my 2 yr. old. Thanks for all the good ideas!
These look like great fun. We take lots of road trips and I’m always looking for stuff to keep my kids occupied.
Very cool! My kids would love these and hopefully they would keep them occupied on long trips or even at church!
As I mentioned in the past post, I thought your bags were a great idea and plan on making similar bags for my trip to Ohio with them this Labor Day. Thanks for sharing!
These look great to keep little ones occupied!
My son would love these fun books for car trips, church, or even just playing at home.
I think the Fuzzy Fair book would be perfect for this time of the year. We’ve spent so much time at fairs this summer and it would be a good way to remember it with my kids throughout the rest of the year, too!
I love the “How to Draw 101…” books! That would entertain my niece for hours! I like the Fairy one specifically.

This would be perfect for my 2 1/2 year old. I think she is finally old enough to sit down for a few minutes at a time and a game like this would be perfect to captivate her attention!
I love all the To That! Kids books! With three girls (3 and under) they love dress up and funny faces. I would pick those two for the 2 and 1-year- olds, and for the three-year-old, going into preschool, I would choose the first words and numbers for good practice at home!
Thanks for the great ideas on traveling. We’ll put those to good use while driving to WA (from UT) this winter!
Pip the Pony to the Rescue is cute :)
