Traveling With Kids Giveaway: Trunki Ride-On Suitcase

by Kelsey Norwood

in Giveaways

{The winner of the Trunki suitcase is Michelle! She said, “I saw these months ago, and almost bought a pair for my kids. My practicality and lack of budget prevented me from clicking the “BUY” button, but I still think they’re awesome. My oldest might be a tad big for it now, but I’m sure she’d still ride one with no hesitation whatsoever.}

Congratulations, Michelle! Email your address to kelsey[at]vanillajoy[dot]com. Thanks Trunki!}

THE PRIZE

trunki kids ride on luggage

One reader will win a green Trunki suitcase for kids!

MY REVIEW

trunki kids suitcase

Trunki is the perfect kid’s suitcase:

  • it’s a good size – large enough for your child’s stuff and small enough for him to carry or pull himself
  • it has a hard shell, wheels, and a strap – kids can pull it themselves or sit on it and be pulled (no more whining about sore feet or begging to be carried!)
  • it locks – stuff won’t fly out when your child drops or tries to throw it
  • it has a little face on the front with ears as the handles
  • it’s a fun toy and a functional suitcase!

We used our Trunki on our most recent road trip. It fit nicely in the trunk, held almost all of Elliot’s things, and was a great distraction/toy while we were packing up.

Traveling with kids can be stressful and frustrating – Trunki kids’ luggage at least gives you a way to get where you need to go with all your stuff and without having to carry your child through an enormous airport! I love products that have multiple purposes and a ride-on suitcase is so fun and useful! Thanks, Trunki!

This idea is fantastic. My parents live outside the country, so we do a LOT of travelling. This would make my life so much easier when travelling w/ my two toddlers! Thanks!

140 Amy August 20, 2009 at 2:08 pm

We just finished an airplane trip with my little girl. She’d be too young for this right now, but I can see how it would be very handy after trying to maneuver through over-crowded terminals this week. I’m curious as to how well they handle turns!

141 Heidi August 20, 2009 at 4:13 pm

I love this thing! We saw a little boy riding one last month. So fun! I wish they had an adult version. I hope I’m the lucky winner!

142 Ali August 20, 2009 at 5:47 pm

I have never seen this before. But we make 16 hour road trips every year at least twice, so my almost-3-year old boy would benefit a lot from this. Do I need to mention that he wants to have one just to be like me and dad?

143 Kaye Swires August 20, 2009 at 9:55 pm

Trunki is amazing! What a fun idea and so practical. It would certainly make traveling a blast!

We love the Trunki! It’s never far from my kids when they’re at home, currently it’s housing a few dolls and a pair of dress up shoes… it’s fabulous, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
