REVIEW

campod camera bean bag portable camera support tripod

I usually have my camera with me (or at least near me) at all times. The thing I rarely carry is a tripod. They’re big, bulky, and take too much time to set up for me to use them unless I really have to, but sometimes you really need a stable surface to get a good picture. So if you didn’t haul along a tripod, what do you do?

You use a Cam-Pod, that’s what you do. A Cam-Pod is a portable camera bean bag support – useful for all kinds of photography in all kind of settings. The Cam-Pod is especially fabulous for low light or to control camera shake.

The Cam-Pod measures about 12″x6″ and is about 1/2″ thick when laid out flat. It has bi-folding sections to facilitate folding and molding to fit your camera. The little “beans” inside form around your camera and hold it steady on any surface, which really broadens your photography possibilities. Because you can fold it up small enough to fit in your pocket, you can take it anywhere and never miss or mess up a perfect photo-op again!

The Cam-Pod is a great cushion to have in your camera bag. Sometimes I put my camera in my normal bag with the Cam-Pod around it for cushion and support so I don’t have to carry a separate camera bag. Or you can use it as a head rest in the car or as a cushion for a nap in the park. I’ve heard that some people even lay it over their sleeping babies to comfort and soothe them!

The Cam-Pod is also the perfect “tripod” option for traveling, when lugging around an actual tripod is impossible. You never know when you might need the Cam-Pod when you’re out and about, and it’s the perfect size for your purse or pocket.

This one product has so many uses, I have yet to discover most of them. The Cam-Pod is definitely a tool I will be able to use in my every day photography to take better quality photos.

My husband and I were just talking about purchasing a tripod for our camera– I’ve never seen the Cam-Pod before but it definitely looks easier to carry around. It’s also an added bonus to keep your camera protected in your bag!

I would LOVE to win this!! I too am taking lots of pictures. I carry my camera in my purse but rarely do I have my tri-pod. A lot of my Florida pictures were from having my camera on a fence post, my car, a wall, or even on the ground with the camera strap to make the picture not too skidywampish.
Pick me, pick me!

I have never seen one before, thanks for introducing it to us. I have a funny story of taking my daughter to the zoo when I was 9 months pregnant. My husband (major techie) had me holding the camera attached to a tripod that had a microphone as well (supposedly improved the sound quality) He took my daughter into the petting zoo while I was supposed to film it, as well as taking regular pictures with my other free hand. I must have been quite the sight, ready to burst and carrying this big equipment looking like a one-man news crew. :) It was hot (July in Florida) and the equipment was heavy. Needless to say, he doesnt bring the tripod anymore since he would have to be the one to carry it.
