Today’s random giveaway is for a Betty Crocker cooking
essentials gift basket, complete with a Betty Crocker mixing spoon, spatula, measuring spoons and cups, whisk, liquid measuring cup and a Betty Crocker Magazine.
To go along with all these great cooking essentials, Betty Crocker is now offering a free online cooking class. Each week there will be short video classes on a variety of different kitchen topics to help you widen your recipe repertoire and boost your confidence in the kitchen.
One new class airs each week at each of the following times:
- Tuesday at 7pm
- Wednesday at 9pm
- Saturday at 4pm
Or you can watch it at your convenience once it has been posted to the website. The first class was last week and was all about chicken – you can watch it at BettyCrocker.com/TheMixer. Here’s the The Mixer video cooking class schedule:

- Week of 4/27: Viva Tortilla
- Week of 5/4: Wok it Out
- Week of 5/11: Small Bites Big Flavors
The recipes from each class will be available on the website also, so you can watch it done and then do it yourself! If you have questions, there is live help available via chat.
I’m always looking for great new recipes and tips to help me in the kitchen. I watched the Kickin’ Chicken class and learned some very useful things – like what a brine is, for example! I am still totally clueless about way too many things! I’m looking forward to participating in the rest of the classes and trying out some new recipes.
