Black Friday Prize #8 is the JVC Picsio Pocket Flash Memory Camera!
MY REVIEW
The Picsio is a great little digital video camera that is so easy and fun to use. It’s about the same size as a cell phone so it fits right into your purse or pocket. I carry mine around in my purse with me because I just never know when my kids are going to start doing something that I want to have forever!
Besides the portable size and the high quality video recording, the best thing about this camera is how easy it is to get my videos published to YouTube. I love to post videos on our family’s personal blog, and this camera does it all for me. The program that comes with the camera (automatically installed…so nice.) also allows you to publish straight to YouTube. From there you just embed the code onto your personal blog and you can share your videos with all your friends and family!
The Piciso comes in 3 great colors – black ice, blue steel, and purple passion. The front is super fun with a shiny geometric, kalaiedescope type feel. So small, so colorful, and so fun!
And it takes video and pictures. The video quality is superb (1080p/30 frames per second) and the still shots are 8 megapixels. Unless you plan on blowing your picture super huge, 8 megapixels is perfect! If you want your video files to be smaller, you can lower the resolution, and although I almost always use the highest resolution setting, it’s nice to have the option.
You do have to purchase your own memory card and the Picsio will take up to a 30 GB card. I bought an 8 GB card and can take almost 1.5 hours of video at the highest resolution. The battery lasts about 70 minutes, so my battery will run out before my memory space does!
With a 2″ LCD screen and the ability to zoom with image stabilization, this camera is the best crossover between a video and still shot camera!
