Send an email to kelseyatvanillajoydotcom BEFORE FRIDAY to claim your prize. Congrats!

THE PRIZE

One very lucky reader will win an AccuQuilt Go! Baby machine with his/her choice of 3 dies PLUS Small Stash Sewing by Melissa Averinos (published by Wiley).

MY REVIEW

AccuQuilt Go! Baby

I’ve been loving the AccuQuilt GO! Baby for a few months now, and I just started my second AccuQuilt quilt using the hexagon die.

ginger blossom tumbler quilt michael miller brown binding

You might remember my first experiment with the machine was my Michael Miller fabric tumbler quilt and the die and machine exceeded all my expectations. That quilt just has to be bound and then it’s all finished!

accuquilt go baby hexagon die

amy butler fabricBut back to the hexagon quilt – I would never have attempted a quilt like this without the AccuQuilt (and a little tip from this blog) – I cut all my hexagons from this beautiful Amy Butler fabric in less than an hour, and they’re all exactly the same size and shape, so my finished product is going to be so much nearer perfection than would otherwise be possible!

To see how easy cutting fabric with the AccuQuilt is, and also to learn how to cut just one shape on the die, watch this short video:

Piece of cake! Like I said, sewing them together is going to be a much more meticulous job than cutting the fabric was.

accuquilt go baby machine

AccuQuilt has many many dies in all shapes to choose from, and having that machine means that many other quilt design options are in the realm of possibility.

Plus, the AccuQuilt is safe to have around children and easy to use.

Which die would be your first choice???

Small Stash Sewing

The other prize our winner will receive is Small Stash Sewing by Melissa Averinos, a book full of easy and creative small stash sewing projects.

small stash sewing book

These are some of my favorite ideas from the book – a fabric belt, button clock, funky shoe laces, stripe T, and faux pillowcase dress.

Thanks to AccuQuilt and Wiley for sponsoring this week’s giveaway!

I love all the dies that are available. There are so many patterns I would never try unless I was cutting the pieces with that machine. I think my favorites to try first would be the tumbler, hexagon and the apple core, but the holiday dies are so cute for a Christmas and Thanksgiving runner! It makes it look so easy! Love it!

2 Michelle June 13, 2011 at 8:54 am

Man, I would love the double wedding ring set. Those quilts knock my socks off but the templates and accuracy required to cut out *all. those. pieces* make me nervous! The Go! would totally eliminate all that…

I like the simple triangle die…love the zig zag pattern one can create. I would so love to win this…quilting is a bit overwhelming for me, but I think I would be so creative with something to make it easier!

I like the Half Square 2″ Finished Triangles Multiples dies and Amy Bulter’s Nigella CAP2 Petal fabric.

17 Kristen June 13, 2011 at 10:45 am

I would love the Alphabet dies! That would make it so cute to put a finished name on a quilt! They take so long to make — I want everyone to know who it’s for {if it’s ever misplaced!}

18 Kristen June 13, 2011 at 10:50 am

I love the Heart Love line by Amy Butler. I have a half yard of the floral waiting to be made into a dress for my daughter.. So many projects on my sewing table. So little time.

19 A.J. Dub June 13, 2011 at 10:50 am

That is a hard one. I really like the circles and hexagon cutters, but I think I would use the squares the most, probably the 5 inch or 4 3/4 inch.

I really like the subdued, muted tones of “Midwest Modern” by Amy Butler, I especially like the bags and the quilts. The green and pinks really appeal to me.

22 Kellie June 13, 2011 at 12:13 pm

I like the mix and match die set…oh the fun I could have with that! Thanks for the giveaway.

23 Abby June 13, 2011 at 12:29 pm

The Amy Butler fabrics are amazing! Thanks for having me check them out. My favorite of the moment: the Orange Dahlia color palette in the Midwest Modern collection. And there I go, imagining how cute my baby girl’s room would look…

24 Kristi Scherzinger June 13, 2011 at 12:39 pm

I love the dies, especially the square dies, it just makes piecing of the quilt so much easier. I love the studio take 5. The Ohio sky is so pretty, very calming.

25 Vio June 13, 2011 at 12:48 pm

I love the Midwest Modern 2 fabric line, with Pink Dahlia being my favorite colorway. I think it would go great with the 4″ diamond dies! Or the GO! Star points. Thank you so much for the opportunity!

I have been eyeing one of these machines for a few months now. No matter how hard I try I have yet to be able to cut any of my fabric straight. So I would choose one of the square dies first. But there are just so many possibilities! From Amy Butler I like the Morning Mist from the August Fields line.

I am new at this quilting thing. I am still struggling with my first one, but I really want to make a quilt for my new grandson to match his nursery. The die I like best is the 60 Square- 81/2″. Simple huh!
I know , but remember I am a beginner. And I adore all the beautiful solids from Amy Butler. I think I would use about 8 colors to match the nursery. Thanks for the chance at a great giveaway!

108 Tiffany June 15, 2011 at 7:27 pm

With little kids at home, I gave up the idea of quilting years ago. I am a perfectionist that cannot stand not to have perfect cuts and yet with kids I do not have the time or energy….. Until now. I have never heard of something as wonderful as the AccuQuilt Baby Go. Brilliant!!!

I NEEEEED one of these!!! I am already drooling over all the amazing things I could make with this!

I LOVE all of Amy Bulter’s collections. It makes creating so easy when all of her collections blend so beautifully together. Also her fabrics are made really well and have such a nice feel to them. Some of my favorites are Passion, Orange Dahlia, blush, Dew Drops, Water and Petal.\

For Accuquilt, I really like the tumbler dies (it looks simple enough that I feel like I wouldn’t mess it up). As far as Amy Butler’s fabrics, there isn’t anything there that I don’t like, but I think my favorite collection is Daisy Chain. All of the collections are amazing though.
