If my kids had to choose one game to take with them to a deserted island…I think it would probably be chess. As long as they could also take a brother to play it with…  and this traveler chess card game would be their version of choice!

It’s a tiny but extremely playable card game version that is smaller than a standard deck of cards and includes 64 game cards – 32 double sided board cards and 32 double-sided game piece sides.

The board pieces are wild on one side for dark colored playing surfaces, and…

black on the other side for light colored playing surfaces.

The chess piece cards also have a colorful side and a black/white side for a total of 4 player options.

Players set up the board grid with cards, place their chess cards on top just like a regular chess board, and go to town!

My boys love this version because it’s so compact and they can take it anywhere or play anytime. And chess is the best math game there is, so the more chess the better!

Thanks to @Createures for sharing their genius version with us!
