Alison Jay is my favorite illustrator. She’s amazing and her work is absolutely beautiful. I wish she could come to my house and paint murals on my walls. If Kisses Were Colors was written by Janet Lawler and illustrated by Alison Jay. These two did an incredible job together!

This short children’s book is about a mother’s love for her child. The author uses a series of poetic comparisons to demonstrate love in different ways. For example,

“If kisses were acorns, a forest would grow
of beautiful oak trees, in row after row.”

It’s a wonderful book that is so sweet and touching. You’ll love it!
