Do you know how to play Nertz? I remember I played it yers ago with a deck of cards and have been trying to remember how since then…. Do they have an actual game out called NErtz now or do you still just play with playing cards?

We just got monopoly junior for the kids at a yard sale and we have played it a couple of times already this month. They love it but it is a long game. They are getting the guess who for Christmas. How do you like cluedo junior? Is that life game a junior also? How do you play canasta? Is that a card game or dice game?

We don’t play games as much as we used to, so I’m looking forward to Christmas Eve ~ every year we give the girls one present to open that night, it’s ALWAYS pj’s and a game. (Well, one year it was The Polar Express dvd.) It’s so much fun to laugh and play with the girls before reading Twas the Night Before Christmas and getting the excited little ones to bed. Thanks for reminding everyone that games don’t have to be electronic! :)

I know they do sell a Nertz game, but I like using regular cards. The game you buy has 4 sets of numbered cards in different colors, but they’re not nearly as fun as the Disney or movie character cards you can find.

I will be doing a little tutorial on how to play Nertz since I’ve had several people ask about it. Hopefully that will be up within the month.

I’ve actually never played Cluedo Junior and there is a Life Junior, I think you can get it at WalMart. I love finding games at yard sales!

Canasta is a card game – I’ll have to do a little tutorial on how to play that game also, although the version I learned as a kids from my grandpa is different than the version my husband’s family plays, and I don’t remember my grandpa’s! I think there are several variations, and they’re all fun. Look for a tutorial soon…

I love the idea of opening your family game on Christmas Eve. That might be something we do in years to come – thanks!
