MY REVIEW

Cherished Quilts for Babies and Kids, Wiley Publishing

I love quilts, and this book full of pattern ideas has designs for every age and style. There are great tips on quilting basics, patterns, lots of pictures, and step by step instructions to help even the newest quilter have some success.

cherished quilts for babies and kids

Above are some of my favorite patterns.

ginger blossom quilt michael miller fabrics

I used the Tee Time quilt pattern to make a King sized quilt out of most of Sandi Henderson’s Ginger Blossom fat quarters that Michael Miller Fabrics sent me. This quilt is made up of 13 1/2″ wide rectangles in two different heights so I got to use nice big pieces of my fat quarters, which also made it much easier to assemble and sew!

This book is full of quilt patterns for babies, kids, and teens. The teen section includes a few really cute pillow and pillowcase patterns as well.

Moda Fabrics

Moda has LONG been one of my favorite fabric sources. I read the Moda Bakeshop blog and drool over their fabrics every time I go into a fabric store.

moda fabrics sugar pop

I got to review the brand new Sugar Pop collection which isn’t even available yet for purchase! I can’t wait until it comes out because I WANT MORE. I love the blues and greens and pinks and salmons and the flowers and the leaves and everything. I. Love. It.

I separated my fat quarters out and am planning to make two quilts – a coin quilt like this one (LOVE this fabric too) with the blues and greens and a tumbler quilt like this one for the purples and pinks.

If I don’t find quilt patterns in a book, I go to the Moda Bakeshop. They have such great patterns and ideas. Sugar Pop hits stores December 10, just in time for Christmas. You’ll love it!

clermont farms and la petite ecole

And these are the fabrics up for giveaway, La Petite Ecole and Clermont  Farms. Definitely a different style than Sugar Pop, but both so beautiful.

Thanks to Wiley Publishing and Moda Fabrics for sponsoring this giveaway!
