MY REVIEW
With virtually everything digital now, backing up your computer is a pretty big deal. We all have soo much information and important stuff on our computers that we don’t want to lose. If you have ever had a hard drive crash, you know how devastating it can be to make the mistake of not backing up.
Seagate Technology has a great new PC backup system that has several great things going for it – it’s automatic, it’s slim, it’s affordable, and it’s all you need to never lose a photo or document again. I love the slim design – it’s sleek and unobtrusive, fits easily in a drawer or rests unnoticed on the desk. Hard to believe that such a small, slick looking device could hold so much priceless information!
The Replica is an automatic backup system, which means there’s no installation CD with confusing instructions – simply plug in the device to your computer and it installs itself and gets to work backing up all your important files. If you unplug the device in the middle of the backup, it will simply continue where it left off the next time you plug it in.
The other best part is the Replica knows what has already been backed up so you don’t have to keep track! Plug it in every month or two and it will copy all new files. No more making lists and trying to manually keep track of when you backed up last and what is new…that’s a nightmare.
