Audio Books

kids-audiobooks.jpgA friend directed me to a website where you can download 6 books for free. There are others that you can purchase, but if you have a library card, you probably don’t need to. Most libraries offer access to an online library where you can download audiobooks, so check with your librarian. Ours is called Net Library, and they have tons of books of all genres available for download.

We’re thinking about taking the train rather than flying home to Oregon for Christmas this year. I will be downloading all my favorites from now until then to prepare for the 24 hour trip. With the help of audio books, I think I will survive. Happy listening!

* A reader shared a resource she found for audio books – LibriVox.org.  Thank you Trish!

Great post Kelsey! Thanks. I will post this on my deals site as well, giving credit to you, of course. The link you posted didn’t work for me, but this one did. So if anyone else has trouble just wanted to let you know.

Oh, and there are 9 free books, not just 6. Cool!

Librivox.org is a website that has a large library of public domain audio books that you can download for free. Some of the children’s books include: Aesop’s Fables, Andersen’s Fairy Tales, Little Women, The Wizard of Oz, The Secret Garden and many more!
