Two-player games are AWESOME. With six boy, sometimes more is NOT merrier… 2 player games keep the interpersonal skills at a manageable level, and it’s fun for just two of my boys to get to spend some quality time together. Everybody takes turns playing though, this game gets A TON of mileage! It’s also one of our favorite quick date-night games. We love it!

Ice Duo is one of 2 complete games included in the box.

Ice Dice is a press-your-luck style dice game – players roll the dice and move pyramid pieces from The Bank to The Counter (center playing space). Players keep rolling until they BUST (roll a pyramid color that is already on the counter) and put everything from the counter back in the bank or CHOOSE TO STOP (take the pieces from the counter and put them in The Vault (a player’s personal collection that can’t be busted)).

Play continues until one player has three single-color Trios.

This game is quick and full of danger and risk. It’s so fun!!

Twin Win uses one of each pyramid in each color (rather than both sets) and the miniature game board.

Pyramids are stacked in a tree shaped trio so that no tree has any repeated colors and then placed on the squares on the game board.

Players are dealt two Twin Win cards that show a colored nest or a tree. On your turn, move ONE PIECE TWO SPACES or TWO PIECES ONE SPACE EACH.

Pieces can only be moved in the  direction of the arrows and the goal is to assemble one of your two assigned combinations (without letting anyone know what you’re going for).

If at any time your tree or nest appears somewhere on the board, show your card and declare yourself winner!

Both of these games are excellent strategy and logical thinking games. Kids learn to assess the situation, consider the risks, and make a quick decision, all excellent Gameschooling Skills!

This was our first introduction to the Looney Pyramids line of games, and we are eager for more quick gameschooling 2-player games! Check out the entire Pyramid Arcade – looks so fun!!

Thanks to Looney Labs (the makers of our favorite Fluxx card games also) for sharing this one with us!
