This to That – Glue Advice

this to that metal glue ceramic glue

I found this clever website called This to That (Glue Advice) that tells you how to glue one thing to another. You can choose any combination of two of these materials to glue together:

  • ceramic
  • fabric
  • glass
  • leather
  • metal
  • paper
  • plastic
  • rubber
  • styrofoam
  • vinyl
  • wood

After you choose two materials a list of adhesives comes up that will work to attach those two materials. Below the adhesives suggestions there are also some helpful tips to improve your chances of success.

I remember my mom telling me when I was a kid that certain things just wouldn’t stick to each other – she needs This to That. This website is very useful for at-home craft projects and even home improvement projects! Anything is possible with the right information and tools!!!

Thanks! It’s great to have the glue choices all laid out for me so I know what will work.

My dad uses Gorilla Glue for wood. I’ve never used it or read the label, but it seems like that might be a good option. I would ask someone at your local hardware store, they should know. Good luck!

First of all, great website. I moved to a rented place where I can’t drill any holes to walls of ceramic and I need to mount a metal thing (for shampoo and stuff like that) to the ceramic on the bathroom wall. I’d like to know if you have had experience. I tried the double face adhesive but the metal thing fell off after two weeks =( I need something that is strong and won’t damage the ceramic beneath. Any ideas? Thank you soooo much!
