Use a Butter Knife

My in-laws get their ice cream out of the carton with a butter knife. The first time I saw my husband do this, I didn’t get it. But I have since changed my mind because I don’t like the regular ice cream scoopers - they don’t get enough ice cream out with each scoop and so it’s a lot of work to fill up a bowl. And regular spoons just bend in half when you use them.
Using a butter knife is actually a brilliant idea that works really well. Try it - I think you’ll like it!

You just use the knife like you would a spoon, stick it in and pull the ice cream out. It sounds really weird - It is weird, but it works!
