linus 1 week

Baby Linus is a week old! And a few days by now…but he’s doing great. He’s nursing great and is sleeping better too, about 3 hours at a time through the night.

All my babies have been colicky at first – Linus has fits of pained crying but they’re getting less frequent. I stopped drinking milk after just a day or two and also have been giving him Gripe Water which has really seemed to help. It seems like it works quickly so I give it to him when he is in pain and it seems to calm him down some.

He is so tiny and precious. Love the pictures and the little squirrel.

I saw this idea on Pinterest to do monthly pictures in a laundry basket to show his growth. I love it. And we all love the Squirrel…so cute!

What a sweetie :)
My first had colic something terrible. He never was able to tolerate milk of any kind including breast milk. Finally at about 6 months old I threw in the towel and started giving him baby food because the poor little guy was starving. Never had another problem. To this day (he is 19) he will not have anything to do with milk!

My daughters both use the gripe water. A tiny bit before each feeding and it seems to help a great deal. I had never heard of it before I visited my new grandbaby this past weekend. Your baby is beautiful. Enjoy every minute, they grow so fast!

He is GOR-GEOUS! And I love the car seat cover! Did you make?

HA! So that’s not a carseat (thanks to one of the other poster’s comment) It’s still beautiful!

I like that blankie you used to fill your laundry basket – and the squittle too – so cute. He looks like he has such a long body! Maybe it’s because he’s still kinda skinny. I’m sure he’ll chunk right up. Can’t wait to see him in October!!!
