We went to Disneyland earlier this month and I have some advice for families with young children: WAIT! Disneyland really is a magical place but we had a hard time enjoying it with a baby. We were only able to go on about four rides in two days and our son hated all of them! He screamed and cried during the whole ride. We weren’t able to go to ToonTown and he might have liked that. We learned a valuable lesson about infant temperament.

My recommendation is to wait until your children are old enough to enjoy Disneyland and recognize the characters and stories.

Even though our son hated it, I loved Peter Pan’s Flight. That ride was one of my favorites. I’ve always wanted to visit Neverland and I got my chance! It was truly magical.
