Favorite Thing #5: Rowenta “Effective” Iron

I don’t know how many times over the last several years that I have thrown up my hands in frustration over a cheap iron. No more. For Christmas this year I got a Rowenta “Effective” iron that is fabulous.

This iron is in the mid-low price range for Rowenta irons, but I think it’s perfect for the average mother/family. The more expensive irons have a few more features but my personal opinion is that the average user doesn’t use those more expensive features. Why pay more for features you’re not going to use? Don’t. It’s silly.

The two most important characteristics of an iron are weight and steam. I need a sturdy, heavy iron so I don’t have to press so hard. This iron weighs 3 lbs. 12 oz - perfect! This iron creates plenty of steam and even produces steam when the iron is vertical so I can steam delicate garments in an upright position. Perfect!

It’s also a pretty sea green color - looks are important even in an item as boring as an iron! I would definitely recommend this iron to a friend. IT’S MY FAVORITE!
