Giveaways are just a part of Vanilla Joy. That’s just the way it’s going to be. I like giving stuff away to you guys, okay? And I want to know what you think about the way I’ve been doing it. If you could answer the 3 questions below, that would be awesome so I can get better at giving away free stuff. If you have other ideas on how to make these contests better for you, please leave a comment at the end of this post. Thanks!

To make the contests better for me – I would actually win something! Like the craft box organizer deal…. yowza!

That’s very helpful, Jeri. Thanks for your input…haha!

Thanks for the opportunity! I did find the extra ways to earn entries a bit confusing. Better luck next time :)

I think overall you did a great job on such a big project. I am impressed that you want and value our opinion. As for me, I did vote and am a devoted reader! Thank you. I love the crafty how-tos as I am a scrapper and card maker….mostly I love to play with paper.

I perfer smaller give aways more often, it keeps it fun for a lot of people all the time instead of a few people some of the time!!

Thanks for all you give Away!

I appreciate the giveaways alot …even though I didn’t win! I think it’s fantastic thing to do.

The only problem I have is, I don’t have a blog…therefore, couldn’t get any extra entries for the contest. yes, I’ve thought about starting a blog but geez, I spend enough time blurfing now, trying to learn all these wonderful crafts!!

Anyhoo..thanks for the chances! And for asking our opinion!

I think smaller prizes more often is better and a shorter time to get entered. In my experience, when you have larger prizes there are also a huge amount of people who enter and that deters others from entering because they don’t think they have a chance to win. If you keep things on a small and simple scale with more prizes and a shorter time to enter keeping the number of people lower so it gives those who don’t usually enter because of a lot of people who already have an incentive to keep coming by and trying to win something and in turn weeding out those who just are around for the contests and keeping those who enjoy the site and creating new ones because they keep coming by. I had several people who I told to come by here say they didn’t bother to enter because so many already had and they felt they didn’t have a chance and it was a waste of time.

I’m relatively new to your blog and I also thought that the only way to earn extra entries was if you had a blog. But Kelsey told me there would be other ways to earn entries and I think today’s email covered that info.

I also agree that really expensive prizes will attract large numbers of entrants who are here just for the prize; a few may become loyal bloggers.

Thanks for caring how we feel. :-) Beggars can’t be choosers!! The directions were a little confusing for all of the extra points, but I just put them in a word doc and checked them off one at a time as I did them.
