Occasionally I get something interesting via email forward. This, for example. Julian Beever is a sidewalk artist who does pavement drawings in different countries all over the world. If you look closely, you can see the ground through the drawings that are made to appear 3-dimensional from one particular viewpoint. Pretty amazing, huh!?!

This is what the email said:

“More chalk drawings from Julian Beever. Incredible!!

Julian Beever is an English artist who’s famous for his art on the pavement of England , France , Germany , USA , Australia and Belgium . Beever gives to his drawings an amazing 3D illusion! Remember, as you view them…these are all done on level walkways!”

And here is Beever, hard at work.

This artist is extraordinarily talented! It’s fun that he has chosen to do his work in very public places for all to see and enjoy. Maybe he can come to Utah!!!

This takes amazing talent. And to think these pieces of art get washed away with the next rain.
