I am reading a book called The Ultimate Career by Daryl Hoole and she had some ideas that I’m in love with about organizing time and activities!
One thing that we do in our family is assign each member a color. I’m purple, my husband is brown, and our son is blue. We mark things with these colors like camping equipment, socks, bins for miscellaneous stuff, etc. This book suggested using a different colored pen to mark each family member’s activities on a calendar so you know who is doing what at a glance. I love that idea!!! I hadn’t thought of using pens to match each person’s color!
Another idea from this book is to pack lunches for all the kids at the same time, that way you only have to get the lunch stuff out once and the younger children have the excitement of unpacking their lunches too.
And a great quote about the use of our time by Robert Louis Stevenson:
Everyone should carry two little books, one to read and the other to write in.
What a great idea!!!

i love the two book quote – so many time we get somewhere and either think of something we need to do or something we want to tell someone. Having that little book to write in would come in very handy.
