Paint Chip Inspiration

paint chip

This weekend we were at Lowe’s picking up some paint and I grabbed a bunch of extra paint chips to see if they couldn’t help me come up with some new color schemes for my scrapbooking pages. I tend to get in a rut with colors, and paint chips are a great way to experiment with different color combinations in the planning stage.

Here are some pages I found that I used some of the above color schemes for – I’m going to have to try really hard to mix things up in my upcoming pages!

I also picked up some of the little booklets with the color schemes arranged for you – these are colors I wouldn’t normally put together I don’t think, so I’m going to incorporate them into my scrapbooking this week.

Paint chips are a great way to get out of old habits and get some fresh new color ideas. What are some of your favorite color combinations???

I never thought to use the paint swatches to inspire scrapbook pages, but now that I look at so many of them together, I want to get a huge canvas and use them to create a piece of abstract art for above my sofa. I promise you, I have been trying for months to come up with an art idea, and just like that, seeing your photos inspired one. So thank you! A million times thank you!
